Meet Our therapists

Jessie Mae Estrada is the owner, operator and lead therapist at Mariposa Grief Counseling and Mariposa Eating Recovery.  She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist.  

She obtained her Master's degree in Counseling (2005) and her Bachelor's degree in Psychology (2003) - both from the University of Texas at San Antonio.  She has been practicing therapy since 2006.  

She started her private practice in 2013 with a focus on the outpatient treatment of eating disorders and expanded to a group practice in 2020.  In 2025, she expanded her business to create a sister group practice offering care specific to grief and bereavement counseling.
